Aira Is Available for Free on Campus

March 12, 2021

Aira is a visual interpreting service for people who are blind or have low vision, or who have print disabilities. It is available on the central campus and remotely. Users download the Aira Explorer app to their mobile phone, and use it to contact a live agent who describes the visual field for them. The Aira agent serves as a personal guide who is available on demand.

Anyone may use the service free of charge while on campus.

Aira is also available for free to attendees of online conferences hosted by Princeton. If you are hosting a conference and want to make the service available, you must request it in advance. Please email your request, and include your contact information, conference title, and dates.
