This is an intensive course that prepares Princeton staff who want to improve accessibility for people with disabilities, to take the International Association of Accessibility Professionals' Certified Professional of Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) certification exam. The course also focuses on applying concepts to your work.The CPACC is a foundational, non-technical credential, representing broad conceptual knowledge of disabilities, challenges and assistive technologies; accessibility and universal design; key accessibility-related standards, laws, and management strategies.Participants will follow a self-guided online course then meet for three instructor-led sessions.The online course will open on:May 19Instructor-led sessions will be held via Zoom on three successive Wednesday from 10 AM - 12 PM, then 1 PM - 3 PM:June 4June 11June 18Classes will be followed by optional study sessions.Participants must commit time to learning the material and studying for the exam.The program will end with the certification exam, which can be taken on July 8 or July 15.This class is open to Princeton University staff.If you are from outside Princeton, you may take the online portion of our course, which is licensed by the International Association of Accessibility Professionals.For questions or to request an accommodation, please email [email protected]
